Welcome to Lovington Church of England Primary School

Welcome to Lovington Church of England Primary School – a small school with a big heart, where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

At Lovington, our children are at the centre of everything we do. We believe that every child is unique and has their own strengths, talents and potential. Our role is to provide a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can grow in confidence, develop a love of learning and become the very best version of themselves.

Our school is a special place. Set at the heart of our rural community, we are proud of the strong relationships we build with our children, families and wider community. Being a smaller school means that we know our children exceptionally well and can provide the care, support and challenge that each individual needs.

A Place to Learn, Grow and Flourish

We want children at Lovington to enjoy their childhood and make happy memories, whilst also developing the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the next stage of their education and beyond.

Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity and encourage children to ask questions, explore ideas and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. We believe that learning should be meaningful, engaging and memorable, with opportunities for children to experience learning first-hand and apply their knowledge in real and purposeful contexts.

We have high aspirations for every child. Through high-quality teaching and an adaptive approach to learning, we aim to ensure that all children are supported and challenged to make progress from their individual starting points.

    Our Christian Foundation

As a Church of England school, our Christian vision and values are central to who we are and how we live and learn together.

Our values help us to create a community built on kindness, respect, courage and compassion. They guide the way we treat one another and encourage our children to think beyond themselves, recognising their responsibility to others and the world around them.

We want every child to leave Lovington as a confident, thoughtful and compassionate young person – ready to embrace new opportunities, face challenges with resilience and make a positive difference in the world.

At the Heart of Our Community

Education has been part of the Lovington community for more than 300 years. In 1715, local benefactor Farmer John Whitehead left the rent from nine acres of pasture land to support the education of the ‘poor children of Lovington for ever’.

Today, that commitment to providing education for the children of our community remains an important part of our school's story.

Our rural setting and close-knit school community provide a unique environment in which children can learn and grow. We are proud of the relationships we build with families and believe that working together is essential in helping every child to thrive.

Lovington Church of England Primary School is a co-educational school for children aged 4 to 11. Our class structure is flexible and carefully organised to meet the needs of our children.
