Autumnal Wellie Walk

Pippin Class headed into the great outdoors for their autumnal wellie walk. We had great fun looking at all the beautiful leaves that are changing colour, and spotting other signs of autumn like conkers and apples on trees. We even found a muddy patch that was brilliant to squelch and squish in!

As we walked, we found a horse chestnut tree which had lots of conkers underneath. We enjoyed collecting them for our classroom. When we got to the middle of the village, we spent some time looking at the local church and talked about all the celebrations we have there.

Throughout the whole walk our KS1 children were directing us using the maps they had created of our village in our Geography lessons. They were able to identify the key features on their map and correlate them with where we were in the village.

What a fabulous time!
