Family Learning

The aim of family learning at Lovington C of E Primary School is to encourage family members to participate in experiences that strengthen educational outcomes and family relationships.

We believe that when families are involved in learning, children tend to:

  • Perform better academically.
  • Develop stronger language and problem-solving skills.
  • Show more motivation and confidence in school.
  • Feel more supported when they see adults actively engaged in their learning.

We believe that when learning is part of family life, children are more likely to view education as valuable and an ongoing process whilst developing curiosity and a love of learning.

At Lovington Primary School, we offer opportunities for children and families to work together on various subjects. Parents will also have the opportunity to learn about what we teach in specific year groups, the different methods we use to achieve curriculum objectives and also provide tips on how to support their child at home.
