Lovington Lolly

The children at Lovington Primary School are encouraged to take on roles and responsibilities in our school.

A range of roles are available for children to apply for. When roles have been successfully undertaken, the children can spend the 'lolly' they earn in the 'lolly shop'. Those children that have demonstrated full commitment also receive an end of term treat.

Lovington ‘Lolly’ Jobs and how to apply - information for children:

There are many different jobs to do around our school. You can apply for the jobs and earn ‘Lolly’ when you do them. The Lolly can be spent in the Lolly shop. When you apply, write as much detail as possible as there will be other applicants and only the best will be interviewed. Application forms can be collected from your teacher. When it is completed, please return it to the collection box in the office.  

The positions are: 

Computing Equipment Monitors

This job requires someone who is confident when using technology such as cameras, computers and IPads. 

This job will require you to look after this equipment and check that it is working properly. You may also be required to upload photos or files if needed.

Site Managers

This job requires someone who likes to be outdoors and cares for the appearance of their school. Keeping the school tidy is also an important part of this job. You will be organising the wheel toys, outdoor equipment and watering plants.  

This job requires someone who is good at working as part of a team. You and your colleagues will also need to collect and sort the recycling for each class on a Friday.

Librarians

This job requires someone with good organisation skills. You will need to review the organisation of the library and ensure the book spines are showing, and that books are on shelves. 

This job will be carried out twice a week by different librarians.

Medal Collector

This job requires someone who is reliable. You will be required to collect medals from each class every Thursday afternoon and place them in the purple box in the office. The purple box will then need to be collected and taken to the hall ready for Collective Worship.

Playground Buddy

This job requires someone who is kind, caring and reliable. You will be part of a team that works on a rota. You can support others who have no one to play with, set out playtime equipment and help organise and supervise games in the playground.

Collective Worship Monitor

This job requires someone who is punctual, reliable and confident with ICT. This job means that you will need to be first into the hall for collective worship. You may be needed to help set up laptops, put out chairs for adults and visitors and be responsible for displaying the song words and playing the CD during the worship, as children enter and leave. You may already be part of the worship group.

Lolly Banker

This job requires someone who is trustworthy, honest and punctual. This person will be responsible for recording employees' Lovington Lolly from their Lolly cards, so that they are able to swap it for relevant rewards. 

E.g. pens, pencils, notepads etc.  

Bankers will be required to be available at the end of lunch times (12.45 -1.00) on a Friday every fortnight.

Wellbeing Ambassadors

This job requires someone who is kind, caring, positive and reliable. You will be someone who can greet others with a smile at the morning gate. You will be part of a team that works on a rota. You may need to help younger children to carry bags across the playground.
