School Council

Our school council is a group of pupils who act as representatives for their classmates in discussing school issues with our school council leader and headteacher. It’s a brilliant way of representing and contributing to the pupils' voices in our school.

Students are elected to represent the views of all pupils and also to improve their school. "School council" means all kinds of school-based activities run by pupils. They help to make decisions about how the school is run and take on projects that support children’s learning and development, such as organising charity events, or ensuring the school environment is the very best it can be.

The Lovington school council is elected annually by the other children and every class will normally elect two or three members.

This year the projects that the school council aim to achieve are:

  • Supporting Children In Need.
  • NSPCC Kindness Challenge.
  • Raising funds in recognition for Hello Yellow Mental Health Day.
  • Upgrade and update the school library.
  • Supporting Comic Relief.
  • Helping to plan and organise World Book Day.
