As part of our Remembrance Day commemorations, the whole school gathered at 11 o’clock to observe two minutes of silence in honour of those who have served. KS2 pupils also had the privilege of hearing from author Jacqueline King, who shared fascinating insights into how she researched and planned her novel A Cake for the Gestapo.
The children were captivated by her stories about life in Jersey and were inspired to see how careful research can bring history to life through storytelling. They also loved the chance to play the spoons and explore a wonderful collection of wartime artefacts. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. King for such an engaging and memorable session.
