    Physically healthy

We offer all children a variety of opportunities to develop an understanding of how to keep physically and mentally healthy.  Our curriculum provides a growing number of enrichment opportunities for children to stay active and live healthy lives.

Our children take part in a wide range of sporting events; after school clubs as well as events with other local schools.

    (September 2025)

Bramcote Dental Practice came to visit Pippin Class to teach us all about how to look after our teeth. The dentist showed us how to brush properly using special disclosing tablets that turned our teeth different colours to show where we had missed!

We learned about how sugar can affect our teeth and why it’s important to brush twice a day. Everyone had a turn brushing their teeth with the dentist’s help to see how we could improve our brushing.

All the children were very excited to receive a goody bag to take home, filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, timers, disclosing tablets to help keep our smiles bright and healthy at home too!

    Enrichment opportunities

We strive to seek new and exciting ways to engage our children in sports to promote a healthy lifestyle, such as additional activities like fencing and yoga, which in turn develops both agility and mindfulness.

    Delicious Fruit Salads

Pippin Class have been using their newfound cutting, grating and peeling skills to design, make and evaluate their own fruit salads. The children wrote their list of ingredients and thought about how they could creatively present their design.

    They looked and tasted DELICIOUS!
